Issue

• A large national, Non Government Organisation (NGO), that had been created from the merger of two previous organisations had decided to upgrade and standardise all desktop hardware and software across the organisation as they currently had a multitude of different hardware and software platforms and variants across the merged organisation
• All IT functions had been outsourced to a specialist IT provider
• As part of the upgrade project it was necessary to conduct an 'audit' of the existing desktop hardware and software across the organisation

Solution

• Formed part of a team of 'auditors' who visited all sites across the UK, including home workers, to determine and record current and future desktop hardware and software requirements
