This leading, multi-national, Financial Services organisation had
recently been 'carved out' of it's parent as a stand-alone entity.
However when it was 'carved out' it lacked all necessary organisational
support structures, eg procurement department, as these had all
previously been provided by the parent.
At the time of separation temporary arrangements, to cover these
functions, were put in place.

We reviewed the strategic sourcing, and category management, approaches
and plans for the Purchasing Department of the business.
In addition we also reviewed the current Purchase to Pay (P2P)
system and supporting processes.
|
The starategic sourcing / category review delivered improvement
action plans across all categories to enable delivery of increased
savings (100%+ increase).
The P2P review also delivered an improvement action plan, resulting
in the freeing of resources to undertake more strategic, value adding
work.
